Saturday, June 10, Noon to 4 pm

Step back in time to experience the life of a soldier in the American Revolution at a military encampment and living history day with reenactors from Col. Bailey’s 2nd Massachusetts Regiment and the Yarmouth Minutemen. Enjoy military drills, spinning and blacksmithing demonstrations, music, spycraft activities for kids, and much more. 

Schedule of Events

  • Military drills and living history demonstrations – ongoing
  • Visit with interpreters from the Boston Tea Party Museum  to learn more about America’s most famous tea party.  12-2 pm
  • “In the afternoon We went to training,”  Duxbury & Plymouth Colony during the first year of the American Revolution.  Talk by author and historian Alexander Cain.  2 pm.

Reenactment of Duxbury’s 1775 Council of War at Alden House – 3 pm. 

Admission is $15 for adults; FREE for kids. It is sponsored by the Massachusetts Society of the Cincinnati and the Duxbury Cultural Council.
