Alden Kindred Reunion

Join us for the 126th Alden Reunion & Annual Meeting!

Mark your calendars for Friday-Sunday, July 31-August 2 and celebrate centuries of history with Alden cousins and friends. Tour the new J. Alden & Virginia E. Keyser Center for Living History during its grand opening over reunion weekend!  Enjoy guided tours, living history demonstrations, and fascinating history presentations. Come for the stories, stay for the kinship!  Join us in person or by Zoom.

  • Friday, July 31, Tour of King Caesar House, Duxbury, built by an Alden descendant and shipbuilding magnate. 2 pm.  Optional.
  • Friday, July 31, Welcome Party & Preview Opening J. Alden & Virginia E. Keyser Center for Living History. 5-7 pm.
  • Saturday, August 1, Annual Meeting. 10 am.
  • Saturday, August 1, Reunion photo, lunch, Alden Kindred Celebration of J. Alden & Virginia E. Keyser Center for Living History, tours and reenactments.  12 -4 pm.   
  • Saturday, August 1, Featured presentation by Dr. Walter Powell, “Paul Revere’s Ride: Henry Wadsworth Longfellow’s Journey from Revolution to Civil War.” 2 pm.
  • Sunday, August 2, Breakfast at the Major John Bradford Homestead, Kingston. 9-11:20 am. To register, please email director@alden.org.  Payment will be collected at the door by the Jones River Village Historical Society. Optional.
  • Sunday, August 2, Grand Opening & Open House, J. Alden & Virginia E. Keyser Center for Living History. 11-1 pm.
