Duxbury’s Early Deeds and Ancient Trails

Explore the fascinating history of “Duxbury’s Early Deeds and Ancient Trails” with Duxbury historian Tony Kelso in a talk on Saturday, September 26, at 1 pm at the new Alden Center for Living History.  Tony’s talk will highlight four architecturally significant Duxbury homes, including the Dr. John Wadsworth House on BayRidge Lane (c.1763), one of the town’s most intact pre‑Revolutionary War homes.  The talk is part of Duxbury’s 6th annual Preservation Day, sponsored by the Local Historic District Commission.  The talk will be followed by a guided walk to the Alden First Site.  Activities also include tours of the “America 250” exhibit at the Nathaniel Winsor Jr. House earlier in the morning at 10 am and a narrated boat tour of Duxbury Harbor with Ed Mayo at 11 am.  Registration is required for the boat tour.
