Liberty Pole Day & Out to See Duxbury

The American Revolution comes to life during this year’s Out to See Duxbury celebration with AKA’s annual Liberty Pole Day reenactment featuring Col. Bailey’s 2nd Massachusetts Regiment and the Middlesex County 4‑H Fife & Drum Corps on Saturday, May 2 from noon to 4 pm. This community‑wide program honors America’s 250th with a tribute to Duxbury’s educational and cultural heritage and the Alden House’s role in the Revolution.
At Alden House visitors can step back in time to explore a military encampment, enjoy fife and drum music, experience living‑history demonstrations, and watch a reenactment of Duxbury’s 1775 Council of War where where local leaders chose to stand up to British authority.  This event is supported by a grant from the Massachusetts Society of the Cincinnati.  For a complete listing of Out to See events please visit   https://seeduxbury.org/out-to-see-duxbury-event
