Dr. Thomas M. McCarthy – Member at Large, Alden Kindred Historian

Tom McCarthy is chair of the History Department at the U.S. Naval Academy, where he teaches world history and 20th-century US history. He was the project manager and lead researcher and author for the nomination that resulted in the creation of the John and Priscilla Alden Family Sites National Historic Landmark in 2008. He currently serves as the Alden Kindred historian and has been a member of the Alden Kindred since 1971.
